There is no net position in the MetaTreader 4 platform, and the deals are divided into opening and closing. Openers can be seen as separate positions, although the net sum is equal to 0. In the examples, the final result (profit / loss) is the same as for other types of platforms.

Deal Amount (Lots) ** Opening Price Market Price Unrealized Result Realized Balance Balance *** Balance (Current Balance)
Deal 1 buys 0.1 1.1400 1.1400 0 0 $ 10 000 $ 10 000
Deal 1: You Buy 0.1 Lot (10,000 Units) EUR / USD with Opening Order at Market Price 1.1400. Balance on account and balance is $ 10,000.
* The examples are given without taking into account the spread spread and the funds used for the margin.
** 1 MetaTrader 4 lot is equal to 100,000 units of base currency – so in this case you buy 10,000 EUR (0.1 lot) and sell 11,400 USD. Keep in mind that in our Delta Trading platform 1 lot is equal to 1000 units of the base currency – not 100,000.
*** “Account Balance” is the amount available on the account, regardless of the floating result of the open positions. “Balance” (or Current Balance) is the amount available on the account, taking into account the floating result of the open positions.
